I started putting a list of each years primary achievements on Facebook a couple of years ago and it's a nice tradition. 2019 has been one helluva year for me personally, here's a recap.

  • Our first Hockey game at the Carolina Hurricanes

  • Bought a Table Saw
  • Bought a Pickup Truck (Clifford, the Big Red Truck)
  • Catherine acquired a new Yamaha Clavinova Piano
  • Huge tree felled in our front yard
  • Talk accepted for LinuxFest North West
  • Made a new mega desk
  • Mavic 2 Zoom
  • New mountain bikes
  • Denver bomb-cyclone trip (Steamboat springs)
  • Mum arrives for 3 weeks
  • NC Mountains and the Tail of the Dragon (my first time) with Mum
  • NC Beach with Mum, Cat and Archie
  • LinuxFest North West in Seattle - Went to JB One for the first time :)
  • Went to Canada for 'dinner' at my Uncle's
  • Irish Dancing World Championships in Greensborough!
  • Texas Linux Fest (Dallas)
  • Caitlin arrives for 1 week in Raleigh
  • Summer Holiday (Vegas -> Denver via Utah (bye Caitlin) -> Yellowstone

  • Self Hosted podcast pitch accepted
  • Built a new maker corner to sit on top of mega desk
  • JB Sprint in prep for the launch of Self Hosted (another trip to Seattle!)
  • Decided to sell our London flat
  • Chris visited Raleigh (and we went to see Wendell in Lexington)
  • Another ride on the Tail of the Dragon
  • Miami and the Florida Keys for Cat's Birthday
  • Self Hosted podcast launches!
  • Our neighbors had a very 'American Pie' style party busted by the cops!

  • The London flat went under offer!
  • Golf R
  • Pauline visits for 3 weeks and they go to Vegas (Cat's mum)
  • Virginia mountains at a friends cabin
  • Orlando weekend at Disneyworld!
  • NC State Fair

  • Discovered Final Space, Schitts Creek and Letterkenny this year
  • Brent arrives for a week
  • Another trip to the mountains (and the Tail of the Dragon in the new Golf R)

  • London flat sold!
  • We became home owners in the USA!
