The Best of Tuscany Tour
No wifi again - more pics from today when we get to Rome tomorrow.
As for today - well, we had our first experience of a guided tour. I’d say we kind of enjoyed the hassle free nature of the day, but hated just being part of the next bus full of tourists. Ok, ok! We know we are tourists, but we quite enjoy not being part of a pack of them!
The tour itself took in several interesting sights. Siena, San Gimignano, the Wine Farm I mentioned earlier in the day and the best to till - the leaning tower of Pisa.
The lunch we had at the wine farm was so/so food but came with gallons of delicious wine. The wine was really something, those of you who know Alex will understand how fussy he can be about wine. Not a drop was wasted from his glasses.
The leaning tower was the other highlight really - it leans a LONG way! It’s really kind of incredible it still stands.
We bid adieu to Florence in the morning and say hello to Rome. We think this is going to be one of the highlights of trip - very excited to see the Roman stuff. I always like Adam Hart-Davies Roman TV programs.
Goodnight chaps and chapesses!
